This Delft-style souvenir plate was made in the 1950s. By Tulip Time's 25th anniversary, the festival was drawing thousands of visitors from across the United States. Wooden shoes have been enduring emblems of Holland's Dutch heritage. Festival organizers produce a souvenir book every year.

Many Holland area children dress up in traditional Dutch costumes for the festival. Holland High School marching band members, shown here in 1958, perform in wooden shoes. Dolls and doll carriages were part of Tulip Time parades in the 1930s. Postcard booklets were popular souvenirs.
